B-Town to fight Piracy with H-Town
Both Hollywood and Bollywood have decided to fight the piracy issue in full force. Both Indian and US film makers are forming an alliance so that they can start recovering the $959 million that they are currently losing due to the piracy issue. The Motion Picture Association of America chairman Dan Glickman has said that DVDs sold through piracy enter the market prior to the official releases of the films.
Some preventative measures that are currently being put into place is restricting audiences from entering the theatre with a personal camcorder device. These are small steps being taken to avoid the 700 million illegal DVDs being sold every year in India.
